TUT's researchers visit
atomic force microscopy groups in Japan

Professor Adam Foster's group from the Department of Physics at TUT is going on a lecture and seminar tour in Japan due to the group's near success in the 2010 European Research Council Starting Grant competition.

Surfaces and Interfaces at the Nanoscale group (SIN) is due to visit six universities in two weeks, travelling exclusively by train over a large part of Japan, while offering a diverse menu of lectures and research presentations. The lectures will focus on computational surface science and atomic force microscopy (AFM).

The tour is supported by the Academy of Finland and will begin on Saturday, 12 November.
